Hello my name is Darnyel, I am an artist and graphic designer from Detroit. I have been obsessed with comics and superheroes since I was a kid. My childhood obsession with superheroes inspired me to create comics and ultimately pursue a career in digital art and graphic design. However, as I dove deeper into Marvel and DC, I noticed a critical gap between my favorite characters and the people who look like me. While representation has improved over the last few decades, media still lacks consistent, meaningful stories centering BIPOC experiences; written for them by them. this is why CHC publishes original series focused on Black and Brown characters within a single, shared universe. As a result, readers finally get to see themselves and their stories fully represented in the superhero genre!
